MY BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!!! :(

Hello everyone this is Oliver Wolcott Jr. My father has just passed away on one of the most important days His birthday. I can't believe how it occurred. He was about to blow his candles, he grabbed me and told me my son take care of this family and your self and don't forget to blog this event. I asked him father what are talking about. Then No reply all I see is my father lying on the kitchen floor with a straight face. Everyone gathered around him then my uncle checked his pulse....... Goodbye Father You will be missed! =[

CAN'T HANDleIT!

I can't handle not working or doing something. I decided like my father to become the governor of Connecticut. I feel amazing especially since I'm very OLD! But the sweetest thing happened today my son comes up to me and tells me he's also thinking to become governor of Connecticut!( His son does become governor) When he told me that I wanted to give him the biggest HUG! So tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY hopefully everything will go well?!?!?! :/

Call Me Lieutenant!!!! :)

So I decided not to stop working......that's just gonna get me bored I mean who wants to stay home with nothing to do? But I decided to leave my job, because of my age I mean I'm almost 70. Plus the joy of yelling tired sweaty soldiers isn't that Fun anymore? :( But I decided to attend the Convention. Ohhh I hear my wife calling me I guess I have to go!

DONE!

I'm done with the upper house of the legislature. So now I'm free I'll probably be spending more quality time with some family or maybe even find I new job. But I think I might even retire, but now one knows what will happen only God. Speaking of God tomorrow is Sunday, and I 'm up late? I should be sleeping my OH my. Good night every! (Oliver was a devoted Christian)

WOW!!!

How long has it been since the last time I wrote here?!?!?! Well I apologize I have so many things on my head more than the last time I posted. So after the declaration I have been serving militia duties most of my time. In 1779 i was major general I defended the Connecticut seacoast. I also negotiated two Indian Treaties. Today I have a meeting with the state legislature and I will tell you of what might happen goodbye for now!

UNEXPECTED?!?!?!

I'm sorry I haven't been writing much lately, but A LOT of things have happened some good and some not so good. I'll tell you about the bad news I missed the voting of Independence which made me even more ill than I was before. But it gets even WORSE! I missed the formal signing of the Declaration so I had to sign it a month after it was signed! But the good news is I'M BACK IN CONGRESS!!! :]

DEATH???? :/

It's 1776 right now I am at Vermont, but things for me haven't been going the way I expected it to. I am suffering a horrible illness, but this illness is unknown to what it might be. So I am going back home to Connecticut and hopefully my brother will help.... WISH ME LUCK :/

The Newest Treasurer!!! =]

WOW!!! Its been 5 years and I have been serving Alexander Hamilton as a Federalist and a loyal follower!  I'm also the U.S. Secretary Treasurer which has been going very well. Hamilton is very proud of me I have succeeded all my duties. Except for the fact that I have been attacked by Republicans, because of misleading funds. So I left the Federalist party......and I'm free right now?!?!?! MAYBE?!?! :/

Oliver Wolcott

Hello my name is Oliver Wolcott and I am a signer of the Declaration of Independence! I was born at Windsor, Connecticut on December 1, 1726. I was the youngest of 14 children, my father was an important politician in Connecticut. After graduating from Yale in 1747 I began my military career. I served as a militia captain in King George's War. When we went against the French the mission was unsuccessful so I went back home and I worked on my medical studies with my brother. Ohhh look at the time I have to go I promised my brother I'll go buy him ingredients for his new experiment, but I promise I'll be back with more of my adventures!
